Not sure but there may be a label on the router with a country code. Match it to the the country code at this site. https://www.tp-link.com/us/choose-your-location/ to see the one to use.

Have to checked to see if the firmware is up to date. Also may want to try a factory reset.

The thing I would worry about is if you mount any electronic device different from the normal intended mount is how the heat will dissipate. It may work but shorten the life of the device.

I would try installing the older level of the firmware that was working prior to the upgrade.

Next step is to contact support as to me it sounds like something is not right in that router.

Also if you have any Extenders or AP, turn them off.
