Need help updating my e-mail.. but also want instructions updated for people like me.
Your instructions have a few flaws...
Documentation Flaw #1 ) Last night when I was adding updated access points it said to go to the internet page and pick the 3 dots and then "change main device" except it didn't exist... if I went back to the home page it then suggested it to me... but consistently said it didn't save.. except it really had.
Documentation Flaw #2 ) When I was setting it all up and it was telling me to use the new one as a main it told me to stop doing what I was doing and change where my router was plugged into (for wired internet to ISP) That needs flipped to say HIT SAVE THEN MOVE THE WIRE... if you move the wire when the prompt comes up you can't hit save.... so the instructions literally tell you to screw it up and move the wire at the wrong time.
Documentation Flaw #3 ) I want to change my e-mail address... it says go to the internet section of the app again click the 3 dots and pick change network owner... also doesn't exist...
Mostly I need #3 fixed so I can update my e-mail as I no longer have access to that account, I saw multiple threads where people requested the same thing and those threads are all deleted when you try and open them now... I have a feeling it's because you assisted all those people in manually updating it... HOWEVER it would be far better to fix the documentation to tell people how to do it themselves or to place a ticket with the request.
This isn't to pick on you guys... it's to try and make the set-up and management smoother so that you can have happier customers overall which them has them use word of mouth to make their friends buy your product... your documentation seems to be your weak point and it's because I think you update your cellular app too often without thinking about what that will impact on the documentation side... you need a change management process in place... it will help you sell more units. Like right now I wouldn't tell people to buy your unit because if I tell them to and they run into these issues they will talk to ME to find out what to do... and I don't want to spend my nights doing FREE support because I already spend my days doing paid support so it is best I don't recommend anything at all. But your product is fine... it's simply old documentation that is at fault. (well and the fact it says changes didn't save when they did.. if you could make that system there more reliable that would be good also)
