My extender is all set up. When connected to my router on my lap top do I need to somehow log into the extender or is it automatically connected? I don't seem to have any better connection than I did with out the extender.
I would recommend using our Tether app when setting up your range extender: link
If you set up the device by performing the WPS setup where you press the WPS button on the router and then on your extender you should see network names that end with _ext. You would manually connect to that network if you want to be connected to the extender.
To see if the extender is connected to either wireless band, look at the front, the 2.4G and 5G will be lit indicating it is connected.
