Hi,

I would like to ask if it is possible to permanently disable the 5Ghz wireless, so not to have it switched on everytime when scheduled timer turns it on/off.

May depend on the model. My model Archer C8 has a Wireless option in the Advance controls to control both wireless bands.

And is the setting kept after restart/reboot?

I just changed it to off, clicked save, reboot and the 5GHz band was gone. Then set it back on, save, and reboot and it is back on.

i see, thanks for testing. I would like to keep those setting after restart/reboot. As move aroung the iphone keeps asking for changing connection as 5Ghz coverage becomes weak.

You could delete (forget) the 5GHz network on your iPhone providing you use different SSIDs for each network that way it will always be on the 2.4 GHz network.
