Model: Archer AX11000
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.5

Just spoke to TP-Link support about WPA3 functionality for their high-end router, AX11000 and this is what I was told:

"The WPA3 firmware update for products marked "Planned" are not a guarantee. Firmware will only be added should resources and hardware allow. The compatible device list will be updated regularly and the information of planned models is only for reference; TP-Link reserves the right to modify this page at any time without notifying the user."

The support person did not provide any dates on when the next firmware will be available, just the generic, "it'll be available soon.", and "definitely this year but no idea when." I was told the same thing 6 months ago.

I'm definitely going to try exchange this router for something else, or sell it and buy something else. This kind of support for a premium router is just atrocious.

This will be my first and last purchase of this brand.

@tarund

Hello..

I just bought the AX11000. WPA3 encryption is shown in the Router specifications on the TP-Link website as a current feature, not a "planned" or future addition. In fact, TP-Link is advertising this new safer encryption for this model as a significant step up in security. But I too don't see WPA3 as an option in my wireless setups.

Considering that, this lukewarm response from TP-LINK Support does not make sense. As a new customer, that worries me. I also noticed reading through the forum threads, that many issues do not get a response from TP-LINK Moderators or support?

I agree with you, and would expect better support for a 400$ router. I'll check if I get a better result. Thankfully I am still within my return period.
