I would look at the small window, see if it says to enter the PIN or network security key. If it says to enter the PIN, click on a small link that says to enter a network security key instead, and then type the wireless password for your router.

To make sure you are entering the correct password, use your smartphone to verify it. While on your smartphone, forget your Wi-Fi network, then connect back to it, and use the same password you were using for the computer, and see if it connects.
