I can't speak for TP-Link routers, but most of the ones I've owned, you can't. These are BINARY files. My A20's backup file is named "backup-Archer A20-2020-03-17.bin" for instance. Netgear uses a .CFG extension, but it too is binary. But they all seem to include the router model/name in the file to avoid problems if you should have more than one router I guess?
Most have data in them identifying the router as well so you can't accidentally apply it to the wrong router. Some might even have a checksum so a 'corrupted' backup can't be restored?
Why do you want to edit it might I ask? Want to change something, load the backup and then change a setting and save it again?

You are not able to modify the .bin back up files. At least that is how it is generally. It is probably not impossible, but there was never an official way to go about doing it.

I encounter a error while playing a game I cant join online I asked to live support to fix it and they told me :
You may have the so-called Moderate NAT type, while Dying Light along with a number of other games, such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, relies heavily on NAT types.
You can try changing it to Open and it is not something that can be done from within the game itself.
As such, we have no guides on NAT configuration to officially share. Nevertheless, you could try the following method:
• Log in to your router's page using one of the browsers.
• Go to your router's configuration page.
• Somewhere there must be an option called "Save or Restore Configuration". Click on it.
• A new page will load up. Use the option "back up configuration now.."
• Wait a couple of seconds and a window will pop up. Then click 'save file' and then OK.
• Make 2 copies of this file, so if something goes wrong you will have a backup.
• Open the file.
• Hit down Ctrl + F and write [ connection.ini ]
• When you find it, look for the last bind.
• Under the last bind paste this: "bind application=CONE(UDP) port=3074-3075" then under the last one paste this "bind application=CONE(UDP) port=3478-3479" then under the last one paste this "bind application=CONE(UDP) port=3658"
• After that, save the file (Probably the file is opened with a notepad)
• Then go back to your router's page at the configuration tab where you were before.
• Use the Option to browse your new configuration file.
• After that click "Restore Configuration Now". Be patient and wait.
• Close your router's page and reboot your router. When you launch the game, NAT should be Open.
so I tried to edit my backup file

You can do that, but not on routers that save the config file in binary. Some do use XML, JSON, or HTML, but generally not Residential routers. If you Google for reading router config files you'll find some cases where you can do it. Ones in HEX are even harder to work on, usually now text to identify the field. Get a HEX browser and check out the file. On top of that, the files generally have a header. It also has a checksum in it, and make a change without changing that, the router might not load it.
For what it is worth, here is what the start of the BIN file for my Archer A20 looks like:
Like I said, other vendors are probably the same, Netgear creates a .CFG file vs. TP-Link's .BIN file, but it is still binary:
If you do Google for reading configuration files, it seems some older TP-Links might be able to alter and they can be read in NOTEPAD?
I'd go back to the Game support and ask specifically how to do it on your router that has a binary configuration file.

Since you mentioned NAT type, this link might be of interest to you:
https://portforward.com/nat-types/
Some appear to have reasons for not working, and they suggest to look at UPNP or Open Ports?
With that said, suspect putting the DEVICE into the DMZ might make it work. You can find that under Advanced, NAT forwarding generally.
Game Support should also be able to tell you what ports need to be opened and sent to the device as well as UPnP ports.
Note, putting the device on the DMZ means it is on the Internet, basically ahead of the router, and if this is a PC, make sure you have a good security suite.
