Unable to connect to WiFi extender: Incorrect Password

WiFi extender has been successfully paired with WIFI Router/Modem, however cannot connect to extender network with same password as router. Access to extender to configure password cannot be done because password is not known.
Any suggestions?

@Pixielou Why not change the very long password to one you normally use so you can connect any device to it easier?

if you're using 5GHz the login & pass are: admin
if you're using 2.4GHz there is no password.

We connected our tp w2200 extender and LED lights show it is connected but our laptop computers are asking for "network security key" when we try to connect. We entered our password that we use with our modem and it does not connect. So is the "network security key" the same as the "password" typed onto our modem? If so it isn't working, but our galaxy phone is connected fine and the extender light shows that it is connected. Could the network security key be the SSID network name which is typed on our modem?
