Icmp ipv6
Icmp ipv6
My old ac3150 V2 works perfect with ipv6. This new expensive ax6000 router I replaced it with is blocking ipv6 icmp requests. I've enabled WAN pings, but it's still blocking. How do I get this fixed?

There was an implementation with newer firmware that will block IPV6 ICMP requests. This is why the C3150 could still respond while the AX6000 can not.
Thank you for the reply. I don't mean to be blunt, but I already knew this. This feature should be left to the consumer to decide and I believe an update to the firmware should address this. It's strange that a feature I desire to work does work on an older router. I would like to decide whether or not my router enables or blocks this feature. It seems to be in place for IPV4 already, why was this decision made for the consumer forcibly for IPV6?
I believe it was made for the sake of security. I know you want to decide that, but unfortunately that is not the case here.
