Slow network performance on AX50/AX3000

Hello, I just purchased a AX50/AX3000 router and am having a terrible time gettingt the LAN speeds to be good. My other router was a Netgear and I was able to confirm that my WAN/Internet speeds are 500/250 from my ISP. I am getting close to that on wireless when I am right near the router. However, with the AX50 I am only getting 60mbps down and 40mbps up. I've tried everything including mimicking my settings from the Netgear router. Could this be an issue with my devices (iPhone and Macbook Pro) not supporting AX?

The problem with these things is that when you look up reviews everything is all well, and when you buy the product and run into issues threads like these pop up, full of terror.
ISP with 250 MBPS service, only 125 on ethernet connection. Managed to tweak the 5GHZ up to 125 download speed (wireless) so it's enough for now.
I sure do hope there will be an upgrade in the future where you can fully disable QoS. Imagine misclicking on the tab and your settings are f'd again, requiring a factory reset.
Needless to say I expected more when buying this router, but haven't been able to judge stability/ performance yet.
Install tips:
- Don't use tether app
- Install with ethernet cable & laptop/desktop
- Don't open QoS settings
- Advanced --> System Parameters: Set Internet Port Negotiation Speed Setting to 1000 MBPS duplex
Hoping for good firmware updates.
Edit & Clarification: When setting up the router, I let my ISP put my router/modem combi into bridge mode. I might contact them later on to disable this and configure the router as AP.

Yes, I suggest to do the following:
- In your Tether app, unbind your router (in options in the main menu next to router)
- Uninstall Tether app
- Reset router to factory settings and reconfigure via http://192.168.0.1/ (laptop/ desktop with ethernet connection)
I am receiving the max amount of mbps from my ISP on my iPhone now after some tweaking (over WiFi 5GHZ) and not having the Tether app, no issues with stability or performance so far, everything seems to be working really well.

Can confirm it's this router
after months of struggling with my 1Gbps and intermittent speeds my ISP sent me a modem with 2 Lan ports
just plugged it in, went from 50 to 850
unbound my devices, removed the tether app and factory reset
still sucks

I have the same problem, wifi speeds below 350Mbps.
I tried all solutions but none worked, the worst part is that i don't know if it is a software or a hardware issue.

Update from my end:
I moved to a new home and trandferred my internet service, along with my AX50. Once my service was transferred, I was getting twice the wifi speeds (between 400-600 mbps), and my hardwired devices have generally been able to pull down my full gigabit service.
I guess my issues were not entirely due to the AX50.

Update from me
Reset everything again
no issues
even got 688 on 5Ghz on a floor above router

I can confirm, the problem is the "High priority" setting. After disabling it I went up from 40mbps to 250/300.
