What exactly are the advantages (if any) of using Smart Connect when setting up the wireless networks in the AC5400 router??  Besides simple convienence is there anything else?

Smart Connect takes the guess work out of setting up your wireless network.  You no longer need to find out what channels or channel widths to use.  You no longer need to determine which band each device can or should be connected to.  Everything is done by the router.  It decided which band a device goes on based on the device's capabliites and traffic needs.  It automatically adjusts channels and channel widths when enviromental obsiticles such as congestion or interference happen.  It basically makes the your wireless network, Smart. 

 

All you have to do is setup a network name and password and that is it.
