internet should still work without gateway I think, because the main router will assign ip address for those clients, so the gateway for the clients is still the main router

usually tp-link router has their own web interface, never heard that we can make one on our own...you may contact tp-link technical support directly to see whether it is possible

factory reset doesn't help? the light is flashing green or red? it is connected to your router via ethernet cable, right? usually red means it is bad
