I have Gargoyle on my WDR4300 and I'm very happy with this firmware. Of course DD-WRT is also very good solution for WR1043ND.

I personally recommend DD-WRT or OPENWRT in TP-link routers.

You have openwrt, gargoyle is only GUI interface.

Yes, forum without active moderators is defective. I can see a lot of spam also on this forum because nobody can't clean here. We waiting for new solutions from TP-link side.
