Is there a way to have the plug activate/deactivate if my phone is within a certain range? As in, if my phone gets within 10 feet the plug will turn on and when my phone leaves that 10 foot range it shuts off.

You can connect your Kasa to Nest. Then on nest app, it allow you to set location. Nest will trigger Kasa scene, you can create a scene for this.

like geofencing? i think you can do it with IFFT
