what is the current firmware version now? can you access https site with direct connection to the modem? make sure this problem is not caused by modem or isp side first.

For V1, there is only one firmware available.

if wds saying running, which means 1043 is not connected with main wifi now. Only when it says run then they are connected.

you can plug the usb driver which has wrong size directly to the router to check it again. If it is showing normal, then it is the problem with hub.
