@TP-Link Yes i think that is possible I have seen it before where a range extender has cloned the SSID and added a 2 at the end to indicate 2ghz.

@HomeAdmin That may well be where the shortfall is LIke Ubiquiti / Unifi the SDN is a closed ecosystem and therefore non SDN hardware will not work "as intended", hopefully you get sorted ok!
