New Firmware [New Firmware] Deco M5 1.6.0

Hello everyone,
Please be sure you have read The Beta Test Agreement before proceeding!
We are happy here to announce that we now have the 1.6.0 firmware for Deco M5 V1/V2/V3 for trial. Please refer to the following link to access this firmware.
Deco M5 1.6.0
New Features/Enhancement:
1. Added Reboot Schedule for every day/week under Deco App > More > Reboot Schedule.
Note: This feature is ONLY supported when the Deco with the firmware 1.6.0 installed is set as the Main Deco.
2. Added support for customizing Satellite Deco signal source under Deco App > Internet > Select the Satellite Deco > Signal Source.
Note: This feature is ONLY supported on Deco with firmware 1.6.0 installed.
3. Added support for customizing clients connection preference under Deco App > CLIENTS > Select the client > Click the gear icon on the right-up corner > Connection Preference.
Note: This feature is ONLY supported in Mesh networks consisting of ALL Deco's with firmware 1.6.0 installed. And the clients are connected to the HOST NETWORK.
4. Added No-IP and DynDNS to the DDNS settings under Deco App > More > Advanced > DDNS.
Note: This feature is ONLY supported when the Deco with 1.6.0 installed is set as the Main Deco.
No-IP and DynDNS are the two commonly used dynamic DNS providers and after installing firmware 1.6.0, you can choose to set up a No-IP or DynDNS domain name for your Deco in addition to TP-Link DDNS.
5. Added Smart DHCP on/off switch under Access Point mode.
Note: This feature is ONLY supported when the Deco with the firmware 1.6.0 installed is set as the Main Deco.
Smart DHCP is enabled by default. When the Smart DHCP function is enabled, Deco will periodically check whether the DHCP Server in the LAN is working properly, and when it stops working, Deco will take the initiative to assign IP addresses to the devices in the LAN.
6. Added a prompt when the Ethernet link rate goes down to 100Mbps.
Note: Deco M5 supports a maximum link speed of 1000Mbps, but due to the quality of the Ethernet cable, the link speed of the connected device, the flow control, and power-saving settings, etc., the link speed can sometimes drop to 100Mbps or even 10Mbps. This can affect your download and upload speed if your bandwidth is more than 100Mbps. After installing firmware 1.6.0, you will receive a prompt in Deco App when the Ethernet link speed is not 1000Mbps.
7. Added schedule and bandwidth limit to guest network under Deco App > More > Wi-Fi > Guest Network.
Note: This feature is ONLY supported when the Deco with the firmware 1.6.0 installed is set as the Main Deco.
8. When configuring Deco for the first time, you can choose to establish an IPv6 connection directly.
9. Improved system reliability.
Notes:
1. This firmware CAN'T be downgraded to the previous version.
2. The current network configuration would not be lost after installing the beta firmware.
3. Please update your Deco APP to the latest version for the new features.
4. If there are other Deco models in the Mesh network, you may miss some new features but this feature will be supported via firmware update in the future.
5. You may miss some new features when Deco is set to Access Point mode.

@TP-Link Sometimes, even when set, it does not respect the device preferred deco settings.
I just have to turn off my device wifi and wait a few seconds before turn on, and see if it connects to preferred deco.

Do all source deco have to be on 1.6 also? Mine displays an error when attempting to save.

@mrlee2 In my installation, Deco source selection does not apply If ethernet is used as backhaul, only to wifi connected Decos.

@TP-Link I have 3 Deco M5 units set up as access points to my home network. The main deco is wired and the remaining two are connected via wireless. Everything works fine for abut a week and then I notice a device (usually a phone) cannot connect to the wifi even when in the same room as the router. a reboot of the router and the main deco cures this for another week. I have also noticed when this happens, no devices are connected directly to the router wifi even when in the same room as the router.
I thought this may be due to the Deco affecting the IP allocation as described as fixed in the beta version 1.6.
I downloaded and installed the version but I found could not access any of the new settings described in the new new version. In fact when I selected "System parameters" on the main deco (or any Deco), the result was an endlessly rotating circle and I could only exit the screen using the back arrow.
I have performed a factory reset on all units and the system works as previously described above. I still cannot access the system parameters settings.

Hi, could you please record a video clip about not being able to access the system parameters settings?
May I know the model number of your home router?
What are the model number and operating system of the smartphone?
Have you tried to turn off the Wi-Fi of the main router and let Deco take over all the wireless networks?
Thank you very much.

I have updated my Deco M5(3.0) in all 3 units. For the last 3 weeks, I'm facing connecting issues for several devices. My Sony smart TV loses connection several times a day. I also face speed delays in my PC and mobile phones. When I switch to a WiFi network generated by the ISP router they work fine. I have disabled Deco antivirus and other inspection features and I face the issue not as often, but it still happens.
I was using the beta 1.5 firmware and it was working perfectly. Unfortunately I cannot install it back.
Is there any new/official release planned to be launched?
Thank you!

@TP-Link Just a small cosmetic remark: the icon for "Reboot Schedule for every day/week under Deco App > More > Reboot Schedule" has a slightly different color than all the other buttons.
Update works great, happy to be able to select the satellite signal source now. Had issues with that before the update and connection is solved because of this update.
