Hey folks,

I got a fancy KC115 camera from Amazon there and a 32GB MicroSD card. Really happy that it has local recordings now as I didn't want to be shelling out big money for cloud storage. I can't find an option to download the local clips onto my phone though. I have some older Kasa Spot Cameras which are currently using the Cloud trial and I can download those.

Is it deliberate that you cannot download the local recordings onto the phone? If so, then that is annoying...

If anyone can confirm I would much appreciate it.

@Darthwilson @cmbuild

Hello,

Local video clips are stored in the SD card for KC115 and could be reviewed in 24/7 Recording on a Kasa app, but clip could not be downloaded in phone so far.

Thank you for your suggestion, will record your feedback  and forward to our team for further evaluation.

If you want to view the video recordings of camera from the SD card on a computer, this FAQ may help:

@Darthwilson

I just bought in August 2021 and the feature is till not there.

Not perfect but you can use the Apple Screen Capture on your phone to make a clip.  Have the clip qued up and paused.  Turn phone in landscape first.  Swipe up from button and get the screen where Flashlight , airplane mode etc is.  In the far right is a round button that is screen capture.  Hit it and pull down to go back to Kasa Camera playback.  Play what you want to capture.  When done swipe up from bottom again, stop recording.  It will be saved to you photos where you can edit it, zoom in, etc.

Hope that helps.
