Model: TL-WN722N
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 5

recently i was searching for an adapter that supports monitor mode and found a one that does "TL-WN822N" but when i bought it i found that it uses realtek chipset not atheors ... and it doesn't support monitor mode and also the same thing with TL-WN722N ...

and i wondered why does the company keep doing this ... there the most adapters that are available here and there isn't a match of adapters that support monitor mode especially that alfa isn't available here.

@moooon

Good day.

We are really sorry for the inconvenience.

For the monitor mode on Linux system, the chipset RTL8192EU does support monitor mode on the following Linux kernel;

Model

Hardware   Version

Kernel   Version

TL-WN822N

V5

2.6.24   ~<4.9.60

TL-WN722N

V3

2.6.18   ~ 4.4.3

But for higher Linux version, since we did not have the official driver for Linux anymore, it is highly suggested that you could check online or from Github to get more details.

Thank you very much for your understanding.
