Just checked again - PadOS 13.4.1 - there appears to be a change in behaviour from my original issue.

I had KASA devices in the widget area and they work fine, but KASA scenes in the widget area responded with "something went wrong".

Activating scenes from within the KASA app works ok.  Also activating scenes from the IFTTT app works ok.

I also checked my iPhone and found the same thing.

This is now fixed - on both phone and pad I deleted the scene that failed to work from widgets, and simply created it again.  Now it works.

Didn't notice earlier because I'd stopped using the KASA widget.

I hope you have similar success.

@HellDad The issue fixed itself for me over the last couple of days. Not sure how, as I made no changes and it doesn't look like the Kasa app updated itself.

@Vmbc I solved the issue by going to Settings > Time & Location > and reselecting my location and time zone. Then back out of settings and force quit the app. Restart the app and then check if the widget updates. It should then. 

I have the same issue. will this ever be fixed ?

Since I last wrote, the Kasa automations have stopped working.  Neither the new Kasa "Smart Actions" nor the link via IFTTT work.

I haven't tried complete uninstallation and re-installation yet.  I can still control my Kasa switch from the app. 

@Itchy Same issue with iphone 7 and 11.  Any updates?

Scenes workaround also dies not works.
