@TP-Link Guys honestly just use the guest network for anything that is only 2.4G, saves all of the hassle and works flawlessly.

@Billie-Turf it won't happen but there is a workaround, set up the guest as only 2.4 and connect devices which won't connect to the duel one. It works perfectly just make sure you add a password.

well that has just stopped me spending money on these, cannot believe you cant split. @Kevin_Z add on that TP-Link suggest they will provide an update and after all this time they havent or havent...
