When you have DHCP-disabled you have to connect without WAN port. Mikrotik->LAN port in TP-link.

You don't have right. Problem isn't simple. We have too much TV brands and too much different video protocols. I know DLNA on Gargoyle but isn't perfect too.

I think, that this is problem with power supply. Your hard drive needs more power than the power supply gives.

Problem with DLNA server isn't only TP-link side. This protocol is not standard in all TV brands.
