Hi,

I just purchased a TP Link Touch P5.

My upload speeds over 5g wifi are perfect (250Mbps) but download appears to be capped at 100Mbps.

Is there a setting I've overlooked? Is this a hardware fault?

Any advice/guidance would be greatly appreciated!

How about the download speed wired to the router or wireless to 2.4G?
Try a different device and only connect one device to test. Sometimes it may be limited by the device itself or the speed is shared by other devices.
A hardware reset and firmware upgrade are worth trying.

I've tried 2 laptops and a cell phone. All with the same results.

Wired is perfect 250/250 while 2.4 wireless is about 50/50

I tried a hardware reset and there appears to be no firmware revisions for the Canadian Touch P5. I tried the US firmware but it wouldn't install.

It feels like a firmware bug limiting the download as the connection is perfect and the upload is perfect.

You can also have a try to fix the channel and channel width on both 2.4G and 5G.
For 2.4G, fix the channel 1/6/11 and channel width to 40MHz. For 5G, fix the channel bandwidth to 40/80MHz.
