Hello

Is the WAN connection of the TL-WR841N also a LAN connection? I need to buy a router or adapter that can shift an ethernet connection to a Wifi connection. Is this possible with this model or should I buy another one? I have one fiberglass connection (250 Mbps) in a cupboard where the Router from my provider is located. An ethernet cable is connecting the router with a patch panel, wiring rj-45 connections in different rooms. I would like to have a wirless hotspot in my living room, as the wirless from my providers router is instable, but the ethernet isn't. I'm not looking for a repeater, dlan is also reducing the internet speed.

Thank you for your help.

David

It seems that you need an access point. WR841N can be configured as an access point. Check the following instruction.
http://www.tp-link.com/en/faq-417.html
There are some TP-LINK devices like TL-WA901ND with access point mode which is easier to make it work.
