I am about to move to a location with no cable internet and will need to buy a USB modem. My question is, can I just plug the USB modem into the back of the TP C7 and it will pick up the internet and work?

No... C7 cannot work with a USB modem as it is not a 3G/4G router...

Ok, thank you for that information. I did wonder if it would work. I see TP Link does have a 3G/4G router, so I might investigate that.

If you have C7v2 you can use openwrt for support 3G/4G modems.

any guidance step by step ? or any link ?

what abt C7 v1 ? will it work using openwrt to support 3g modem ?
