Archer C2 setup issues
Archer C2 setup issues
Region : UnitedKingdom
Model : Archer C2
Hardware Version : Not Clear
Firmware Version :
ISP : Plusnet
Got this new router but can't configure it. I have an ethernet cable coming out of the wall, going directly into the router. My ISP tells me that I shouldn't use a modem. I'm using a macbook pro to connect to the router wirelessly using the default network and password as the macbook doesn't have an ethernet port for a wired connection. I can login to the router admin using 192.168.0.1 but when I go through the quick setup I get this message -
"the cable is unplugged. before continuing, please make sure the cable of the WAN port is well connected to your device"
Does this mean I need to have a wired connection between router and laptop to set it up? In the instruction manual it says you can configure the router wirelessly. Can this setup work without a modem as my ISP says? They say I just need an ADSL2+ compatible router. Am I right in thinking that this router is ADSL2+ compatible?
Help appreciated!
