Region : Argentina

Model : TL-WDR4300

Hardware Version : Not Clear

Firmware Version : Archer C7_V2_150304

ISP : Virginmedia

After many months of problem free usage with my C7 V2, I have started having issues whereby the 2.4ghz wireless connection drops saying there is a DNS problem, the 2.4 ghz guest connection works fine as does the 5ghz connection. I am unable to connect to the router in this mode unless I change to a wired connection or connect to the 5ghz.
This problem has become more apparent since the last firmware update. Rebooting the router does eventually fix the problem but not until 4 or 5 restarts and then the problem returns the next day or within a few hours.

Can anyone offer any advice on this as its becoming a pain?

DNS problem? So Wi-Fi still shows connected on your wireless clients and there is IP address? Can you try to change DNS to 8.8.8.8 manually to see if it will fix the problem?

Thanks for taking the time to respond Tony, the Wi-Fi does still show as connected but with limited capability on the 2.4ghz, I have found that if I connect to the 2.4 guest network & then reconnect to the standard 2.4ghz it connects, I have also reset the router back to factory and am trying it with the 2.4 guest disabled but still in dual mode for 2.4 & 5ghz, I should know later today if this has worked if not I will try what you suggest and report back.
