First of all why cannot I get the Archer D5 in the model number while making this post.
Now the main issue .. The two USB 2.0 ports on the modem are not up to the speeds they should deliver ...
The device I have connected on the USB port is a 3.5 powered HDD which gives me around 190 MBps speed if I connect it to my laptop ... that is on USB three .. on USB 2.0 I still get about 40 MBps .. but the speed that I get from the router even though I am connected on the Lan on a gigabit connection is Maxed out at 13.1 MBps .. which is quite low for USB 2.0. I can get about 100+ MBps on a data transfer between two machines on the Gigabit connection .. so its not the connection .. its not the machines .. its not the HDD.. the problem is with the Rotuer itself .. maybe the usb host controller that is installed can only support this much .. I wan to know if this is an issue or this is the limit of the hardware installed in the archer D5 . because if I try to stream 2 movies off it and also copy some stuff to the HDD ... well you can guess what happens to my movies ...
