I have Windows XP.
Every now and then I lose the connection to my router.
Normally I right click on the network connection icon and select 'repair'.
Lately this has not been working.
The green light on the adapter remains constantly on without flashing.
The 'Repair Wireless Network Connection 7' window remains visible and cannot be removed.
Sometimes the icon disappears.
I cannot find any process in 'Task Manager' or 'Process Explorer' which I can restart.
The only remedy is to reboot which is obviously time consuming.
Please can you help?

Did you try to uninstall the driver and install the latest one on TP-LINK website?

Thank you Vivian.
I updated the driver from TP-Link's site.
This driver which had an earlier date than the one that came on the mini CD but the same number of bytes.

So far the connection has dropped out at least two times, but generally performance is much better.
So far I have not had to re-boot.
If connection fails to be repaired I shall run 'setup' and see if that works.
Thanks again,
Eric.

It's done it again.
I've tried to run setup to reload the driver and that has hung as well.
The Network Connections Window can't disable nor repair the connection and I can find nothing in the Task manager processes list that looks like it is part of the repair procedure.
Unless I can find a quick way of repairing the connection or finding out how to stop it disconnecting in the first place I'm going to ditch in favour of another brand.

It's done it yet again. I reboot and it is fine for a random length of time and then freezes.

Looking at other threads it seems that all that can be suggested is to try another driver.

I also notice that other TP-Link adaptor models seem to have similar problems.

All I require is a way to disable, repair and re-enable the connection without having to reboot.
I'm going to find another connector (not TP-Link) and bin this one.
I can't even honestly offer it on e-bay.

Except the driver and computer itself, I cannot think up more possible solutions.
In your case, Chipmaker's driver may help as I read other similar threads.
