Hi,

I have one TP-Link TL-WR841N wireless router which is being used by 10 of us for internet connection. We want to restrict the data size usage (MBs or GBs). I don't see any option like this in router's WEB UI. But I can able to an option for bandwidth control. Please help me to get this option. It would very helpful if you can provide a new firmware with this support.

I have found some customized firmwares on net, But I am not sure whether those are all works fine or not.

Hi, Thanks for your reply.

My problem here is, not controlling bandwidth. I just want to control the data usage. We are 10 peoples sharing the same internet connection. The connection limit is 100GB, I want it to divide to all 10 as 10GB each. I don't find any options for this. Please help me to get this problem resolved.

The only option is Gargoyle (OpenWRT) because WR841N doesn't have that functionality

Could you please provide me the details Gargoyle. Where can I download it? How can I use it? Please share these details, will be help full for me.

Gargoyle have support for v9 WR841N ?

i only can see opn-wrt's stable build on v9 WR841N

yes there is latest beta build r25408 with dd-wrt

did not flashed any custom firmware yet

can you help regarding this as far as i know it void warranty is't it ?

how ever we can to revert back to original one still other risk be side bad flash and brick it ?

Some official firmware of TP-LINK products can be replaced by the third party firmware such as DD-WRT. TP-LINK does not provide technical support and does not guarantee the performance and stability of third party firmware. Damage to the product as a result of using third party firmware will void the product's warranty.
