We don't know corporation politics in TP-link. Maybe is something wrong with management.

You're probably right, but if the developers do what they want, without listening the customers, through the support department (e-mail, forum, etc.) there is no way out...

HiSpeed you know that tp-link is only SOHO devices and you can't compare it with Cisco and other SMB solution. I know that situation is very irritate when your router is stop working but I can't do anything with this. I'm normal human from Poland.

Hello Jimasek,

I currently have two WR1043ND routers at two different locations, one at home and the other at a remote location.
I'm using firmware version TL-WR1043ND_V1_120405 on both routers.
The remote router has remote management switched on, but will be inaccessible after somewhere between one day and one week, while internet connection is still possible via cable and wifi.

You state that this router will work good with openwrt.
Is openwrt easy to install on a WR1043ND router?
Are there any issues that need attention when installing?
Is Gargoyle or DD-wrt better in your opinion?

gargoyle and openwrt are almost same, because gargoyle firmware is based on openwrt.
dd-wrt from my experience, has a lot of wifi issues.
