Model: Archer C7

Hardware Version: V2

Firmware Version: 3.15.2 Build 170525 Rel.37571n

Hello,

I have a problem, I cannot update the Archer V7 EU router with any firmware, it gives this error:

Error code: 18005

Upgrade unsuccessfully because the version of the upgraded file was incorrect. Please check the file name.

So I went here to get the latest firmware:

https://www.tp-link.com/uk/support/download/archer-c7/v2/#Firmware

I tried upgrading with any of those firmware and it gives the same error.

What I am doing wrong?

@zypa

I believe that for some reason you have the US FW version on your device.

Despite the sticker showing EU version, your current version is a US one.

Try updating with the latest from here and check how it goes.
