I cannot connect to the Internet - I've put in a SIM - but all I want this router to do is to link with my Modem and give a stronger signal at the other end of the house

Hi,

Did you want to wirelessly connect the MR6400 to your main Wi-Fi modem to extend to the signal?

Or it is planned to get internet via SIM card but with same Wi-Fi SSID as the main Wi-Fi modem?

If it is the 1^st one, a wireless range extender would be much better:
