Model: Archer AX11000
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.2.1 Build 20210511 rel.77051(4555)

Hello,

I have a problem that my Archer AX11000 creates its own Subnetz.

The AX11000 is connected with a cable to my FritzBox 6590 and has the static IP 192.168.0.27.

However, when I try to Ping the IP, it timeouts.

When I now take my Smartphone and open the "Tether"-App, I can connect to the AX11000 and I see it created his own Subnetz:

FritzBox: IP 192.168.0.1

AX11000: IP 192.168.1.1

This doesn't concern me, because I can configure the AX11000 with my Smartphone.

But now the Problem what I have because of the Subnetz.

I have a Printer which should be able to print from my Desktop (connected with cable to the FritzBox) and via WLAN (WLAN is AX11000)...

Because of the own Subnetz, I can only print from my Smartphone (over WLAN) and not from my PC.

Is there a possibility to configure the AX11000 that I only have one Subnetz?

I could configure the AX11000 that I have Internet-Access which is over the FritzBox

Internet -> FritzBox -> Cable -> AX11000 This works

I hope I didn't write it to confuse what the problem is.

With kind regards

Ruben

@Ruben87

You have a double NAT in your network and that's the typical issue it causes.

You can set your AX11000 in Acess Point mode (Case 1) to avoid this.

For the AX11000 LAN IP address you can set static IP 192.168.0.254 and its DHCP server set to Auto or OFF.

Give it a try and see if this configuration suit your needs.

The other way to avoid this is to configure FritzBox 6590 in bridge mode (pure modem - if possible) and use AX11000 as a main router (wireless router mode).

Thank you for your reply.

I tested it and it now works perfectly.
