Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 1.1.2 Build 20210125 rel.37999(4341)

Hello,

I have this continuing problem with my C7 router with my TC7650 V1.0 modem (FW: v1.0.3 Build 20161117 Rel358190). Whenever my modem drops the internet connection, but regains it, the C7 router seems to have an issue trying to reconnect to the modem. I have to manually go into the C7 router settings to reboot it (or just do a manual reboot) before it will connect to the modem.

I was wondering if there is a setting I'm missing or if this is a known issue or something else. Any help would be appreciated

@dave84

Can we confirm who is your ISP, and is the WAN connection type on the C7 Dynamic IP?

If the router doesn't connect to the internet automatically after the modem restores, will the C7 internet LED stay orange? Please login to the C7 web interface page to check if there is a WAN IP address when the internet LED is orange, send us the screenshot. If there is still a WAN IP address and gateway when the internet if off before you manually restart the C7, please try to change the DNS server on the C7 to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 under Advanced > Network > Internet, where you can find "Use the following DNS addresses", then monitor again.
