Model: Deco X60
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.5.1 Build 20210204 Rel. 50164

I've bought a pair of Decos X60 and I'm experiencing random disconnects over pppoe. This behavior didn't happen with previous router.

what can I do to stop this?

@TP-Link I've changed the cable that came with the Deco for my own CAT6 cable and now everything works perfectly, my connection is steady and up for about 60 hours.  Strange that a brand new cable went down the road after two days of use.

I'm also getting weird speeds with the Decos after the disconnection problem. If I restart the system it goes back to normal, until the drops.
what's going on?

@mfritzen

Hi, as per the System Log on the Deco, it seems the WAN connection broken up for some reason, can you please confirm the cable between the main Deco and the ISP modem is good, try to unplug and plug it back, or change with another cat 5e or cat 6 cable.

How long is the cable? Did you use the same cable between the old router with the modem? You can try different LAN ports on the modem. BTW, who is the ISP, and what is the model of the modem?

You can also try to swap the two Deco X60, change the satellite node to be the main as follows:

@TP-Link I've changed the cable that came with the Deco for my own CAT6 cable and now everything works perfectly, my connection is steady and up for about 60 hours.  Strange that a brand new cable went down the road after two days of use.

With my old router (Asus 68U acting as dns cache)

------

with deco x60

Another situation, if you guys can help me.  my devices the dns is showing the router ip (192.168.1.1) and 8.8.8.8

but I didn't set anything on DHCP page.

It should only show 192.168.1.1 as far as understand.

@mfritzen

Hi, you may check if this is obtained automatically from the ISP network, or you assigned it manually as follows:

@TP-Link I changed the DNS on Wan Page only. Didn't touch the dhcp.
The only ip that should show on devices is the router ip 192.168.1.1
