Huawei tablet prefers to connect to Deco M4R with 2.4ghz
I have a network of 3 Deco M4, one configured as router. My Huawei Mediapad M5 prefers to connect to the router at 2.4ghz, even when it's closer to one of the other access points. Mesh is activated for all my mobile devices. When I disable/enable Wifi on the tablet, for a short time, it reconnects to the closest access point at 5.0ghz. But as soon as I move around with it, it connects to the router at 2.4ghz and remains connected, even when it's closest beside another access point.
Remaining connected to the router is not that bad, but 2.4ghz is affecting the speed considerably.
Turning off 2.4ghz is not an option, as I am still using 2.4-only devices. Different Network SSIDs isn't either.
It would be very helpful, if one could activate 2.4/5.0 by each Deco device separately (listen Firmware developers!). So, if only one access point would send at 2.4ghz, problem should be solved.
Any other advices?
