I have a new deco P9 and set it up and it's connected fine. My speed is 1 gigabit per second but the best speed I get with speedtest on Deco p9 wifi is only around 100 mbps on my second floor third unit. What am I doing wrong? Latest firmware has been installed. Thank you.

If you want to avoid running cables or using MoCA adaptors the it's best to look into a WiFi6 mesh setup, the WiFi 6 backbone should be faster than the P9 PLC. Just ensure you can get a signal from one node to the next before you go down that route.
Few Examples of wifi 6 mesh setups I have used. I do rate the Deco x range as good stuff
TP Link Deco x20 or x60
Netgear Orbi WiFI6
Asus ZenWifi AX
However note, as WiFi6 is a newer technology any devices running WiFi6 will be more expensive, the list above included.
