Hi, my name is Julio. I have problems with my internet connection.


I have micro-cuts in my connection to the Internet a couple of times a week, at least. the light on the router turns to red for a minute and I lose the internet. The lights of the ont are all ok, green, only the LAN connection of the ONT does not blink (there is no data transfer).

 


then the router light turns white and everything works fine.

Hello, may I know who is your ISP? Please ensure you have a stable connection when you connect a computer to the ISP modem directly bypassing the router, and dial up on the computer to connect to the internet. Guide are as follows:

For Windows 8/10: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/921/

For Mac: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/285/

 

If the above confirms to be stable, please try with a different cat5e or cat6 cable between the modem and the AX11000, ensure the cable connection is good.

My ISP modem is a fiber optic ZTE provided by the ANTEL telephone company (Uruguay).
The ISP modem is in bridge mode.
The PPPoE configuration is configured directly in the TPLink router, I do not have to configure the internter connection on a PC to connect to the internter.

Yes, we understand that, as the PPPoE connection is not stable, we hope you can dial up on a computer directly to confirm if the internet connection provided by your ISP is stable first. Please refer to the guidance in my previous reply to dial up on the computer, then let us know if you could get a stable connection without the AX11000.

If I understood correctly, should I disconnect the wan cable from the router and connect it to the pc? Once I connect that to the pc and make the connection to the internet, how long should I leave it connected like this to know if the connection is stable? (When I do that, I leave the whole house without an inrtenet connection and only my pc has internet)

You are correct, that was what I mean. While we can escalate your case to the support engineers to investigate first since my previous suggestion will leave your whole house without an internet.
