Model: Deco X60
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.5.0 Build 20210121 Rel. 54042

I rather enjoy my Deco X60 set, same as i did enjoy the Deco M5 set I used before.

I'm in the lucky situation that my ISP supports both IPv4 and IPv6, so beside having a static IPv4 address, I also get my own public IPv6 subnet - and it works with my Deco router. I use a ZTE H186 VDSL2 modem and I use PPPoE on the Deco for both the IPv4 and IPv6 connection. And it works great, all devices in the network get (NAT) IPv4 as well as public IPv6 addresses out of the provided subnet.

But: Whenever a device in the Deco network is using exclusive IPv6 traffic, the Deco app does not recognize it, does not show any traffic for that device. The "HOMENAS7" device in this picture is currently doing a 300 Mbit/s download from Google Takeout via IPv6, but the traffic is not visible within the Deco app.

I hope you will address this in the future - IPv6 is the future and an innovative product like Deco should be able to handle it properly!

@PMShodan

Hi,

No real-time download/upload speed might be not due to the IPV6 traffic only on the NAS;

Only the data transfer through CPU would be recorded under the online device;

If you do not mind, you could put the HOEMNAS7 on higher priority and check again the download and upload speed when downloading the files from Google;

Thank you very much.

@TP-Link

Thanks for the answer, but there is a misunderstanding here ...

"HOMENAS7" is not a NAS but a normal Windows 10 PC which is communicating with Google Servers via IPv6, this is normal Internet traffic not internal LAN traffic. The Deco unit gets a IPv4 address and a IPv6 subnet via PPPoE from the ISP and gives out a NAT (192.168.0.x) IPv4 address and a real IPv6 address from the available subnet to all clients in the network via DHCP.

But whenever a client engages in Internet communication via IPv6 only, the Deco app will not show that traffic at all. What I've shown in the last post was an example for that. The HOMENAS7 Windows 10 PC was doing downloads from Google with approx. 300 MBit/s (as shown in the screenshot) but in the Deco app, no traffic at all is shown for HOMENAS7 (0.0 Kbps).

This doesn't change even if the priority of HOMENAS7 is set higher. It is the same for all devices on the Deco network if they engage in IPv6 communication only.
