I've got two Archer C6... Is Access Point Mode the best solution to use them?
Hi everybody. Sorry for my english! I live in Italy. I live in a big home, three floors. The fiber enters at the lowest of the three levels and plugs into an ONT, and then goes via ethernet to the router (a Technicolor DGA4331 provided by my ISP,) a couple of meters aside.
The signal is super great, but as soon as I leave that precise room it goes down a lot. Not a big problem, but surely I needed to find a way to carry it to the upper floors... For years (before having the FTTH) I always used powerlines (TL-WPA4220, or PA8030) but now I need something stronger, with the FTTH.
So this morning I just purchased an Archer C6, which revealed to be super great, at the first floor (connected with a LAN cable to the router). The wifi is very strong from there, so I decided to go back and buy another Archer C6 to connect the second floor the same way...
Am I right, could this be the best solution for me? Next June I have to do some work in my house, so I'll find the way to pose another ethernet cable up to the second floor.
Any suggestion or consideration? Do I have to use another way to connect my house? I don't know much about bridge mode, client mode or all that sort of things, I've read a bit around and it seemed to me that AP mode is what I really need, floor per floor. Did I miss something?
Thanks in advance...
