May I know how often did CPU spike to 90-99? Where did you see that? Please share with us some screenshots, thanks.
Please check if there are some high load activities in the network when this issue happen, what if you close that activity or application?
How many devices are connected to the WR941HP network? Try to reduce the clients, then check again.
When did you purchase the router? Did this issue happen when you began to use it, or it happened recently? Does the router touch hot? Are you able to ping the router from the computer connected to it?
