Hello everyone,
We understand you have been waiting for the Onemesh firmware for Archer AX11000 for long, here comes with the beta version. You can manually update your router firmware if you would like to implement the Onemesh with some existing range extenders.
This is the download link:
https://static.tp-link.com/beta/2021/202104/20210416/ax11000v1-up-ver1-2-0-P8[20210415-rel78917]_beta_2021-04-16_10.34.39.zip (No need to install this beta version anymore)
Refer to this guide to add the existing extender to the Onemesh network:
https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2509/
We hope you could help provide some details about the network layout, which will help us to understand your usage better:
1. What is the model number of the range extender that you want to add to the AX11000 Onemesh network? How many extenders?
2. How large of the house, how are the AX11000 and the range extenders located, are all on the same floor, or on different floors?
3. How about the Onemesh network performance? Is it as good as expected?
Do let us know how it goes. Have a nice day.

Thanks was checking that I understood what "backhaul" meant.
Are there any devices that can create a onemesh network with AX11000 and connect via ethernet.
The need is to get service where I have an ethernet connection but is too distant from the AX11000 for a reasonable signal.

@Kevin_Z People who want a stable speed above 100 should stay at the firmware before the one mesh patch. There is a big bug in this software which cannot be solved by going back to the previous version before onemesh. Tried everything with support. They also discussed my cables whilst I had high speeds before. I have cat6 copper cables so no issue there. Also directly connected to the model, it runs poorly. After a reboot I have high speeds for a few minutes and then it drops back to 30 till 90. Right after the 5Ghz band 2 kicks in.
Since a stable and good connection is very important for me and it is still in my warranty period, I have sent it back to the vendor for a return or repair. If support could give me the trust this issue will be fixed soon, I would have trust them and just waited for one or two weeks. This is a serious issue. Also found it was present in the beta software and was noticed by some users. But nothing happend to fix it. Like mentioned in another post, this is poor support for such an expensive router. Letting users test, fine, but give them the option to go back to the preffered firmware without issues.
Know you want to push OneMesh for commercial purposes so it seems but in this way, this functionality is crap. A fast Wifi 6 router for streaming and gamins just run on 30 mbps till 90 mbps.
Support also told me I have to wait for two or more months probably before someone in China has this issue fixed. Are you kidding me? Hope it gets fixed properly with a complete flash to the OneMesh previous version until this has been fixed or to receive a new one which works. Perhaps it is a problem between the firmware and the version 1 hardware, I don know.

Thanks for reporting the speed issue you're experiencing with the Onemesh upgrade, but honestly, the Onemesh firmware has been released for almost 2 months, and we actually haven't received the significant speed drop due to this upgrade. We do receive some customers report the speed might be limited to 100 Mbps as we posted here, but that can be confirmed by some users that it is due to the Ethernet cable.
Anyway, if you have returned the AX11000 already, you can wait for the replacement or repair first, but do let me know if there is still an issue with the speed when you receive the replacement, we will investigate and provide a solution.

@Kevin_Z For me the issue cannot be the cable. They are all high quality and in every setup its faling. This happened after I updated the firmware in the router gui. Startup high speed and after fee minutes performance drop. If you look at this forum on other topics you will find more complaints. Other people tested other cables but no result, directly to te modem also no result. I think alle issues are connected and raised by the firmware.

@Kevin_Z Just a quick update after a few months of stability......still working well and no major dropouts apart from -->
If you at any time reboot the main AX11000 router, then when it comes back online the nodes connect but always drop the 2.4Ghz band (that LED is no longer lit on both nodes and they both indicate 0Mbps data transmission on that band).
This is the only way to fix it (luckily easy to do):
Do NOT go into the RE-605X settings (leave them as they were), navigate to the AX11000 settings page instead.
Advanced Tab -> Wireless -> Wireless Settings -> "Turn OFDMA OFF" -> Save
** Navigate to another menu item entirely (e.g. HomeCare -> QoS, but any other one will do)
Navigate back to Wireless -> Wireless Settings -> "Turn OFDMA ON" -> Save
** For some reason, if you don't navigate away from the OFDMA menu it will never complete the save when you turn OFDMA back on - it will simply keep spinning forever. You have to navigate away from the sub menu into another one and then go BACK into the wireless OFDMA sub-menu again in order for the Save button to work again.
