RE220 software update

I have recently updated the firmware of my RE220 V2 from 190924 to 201022. The high speed menu no longer has "Enable" just "Automatic" and "Manual". Manual works as before but Automatic reverts the extender to dual band extender mode. Is this a bug in the new software or a deliberate change to the software menu which means the info is now incorrect?
Another query I have refers to the channels the extender broadcasts on. With my older RE200 V1 I can choose the channel to use but this does not appear to be the case with newer RE220. Also on the RE200 there was a choice for the Ethernet connection to be from either the 2.4GHz or the 5GHz band. This is also absent from the RE220. Is this the case or have I missed something?

Yes the High speed design has updated in new firmware. " Manual" is the High speed mode in previous firmware.
When RE works in Range Extender mode, RE repeat router's WiFi signal and the channel is always the same main router..
In Access Point mode, you will be able to change Wi-Fi channel for RE(AP Mode).
