Model: Archer AX6000
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

History-

I had tp link RC450 (AC1750) extender

and tp link deco (1+1)

I just got tp link AX6000 and saw one mesh feature also.

is it possible to add existing extender and deco as mesh node?

 Thanks

Hello, all these Archer AX6000, RE450 and Deco can join to the same network, you can set up the AX6000 as the main router/gateway router, then join the RE450 (only RE450 V4 or above supports Onemesh) to the Onemesh network with it, connect the Deco to the AX6000 via LAN cable to extend the network.

However, OneMesh™ and Deco Mesh are different technologies used on different TP-Link products, so OneMesh™ products (Archer AX6000, RE450) cannot build a Mesh network with Deco.

Kindly refer to the below FAQ:

thank you for sharing detailed reply. it's helpful so deco can't be added as mesh node (noted), (at least currently). I tried with RE450; online (V3 & ) V4 was not available on tp link download site (I would try again); in fact V2 was available but I was getting error while try to update extender firmware. Since I know that it can be used as mesh node, so would try to update to V4 once I can download it. thanks.

okay limited knowledge is always confusing... so V4 & above is hardware version but not software version. so my current RE450 can be used as extender but not as mesh node; is it correct.

Yes, v4 stands for the hardware version, which is printed on the device label. We currently have RE450 v4 supports Onemesh, neither v2 nor v3 supports Onemesh, you can check the Onemesh compatibility here:
