Model: Archer A20
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I got this product: Archer A20 (AC4000)

Internet port ----> ISP router ----> FiOS

LAN 1 ----> Synology NAS DS918+

LAN 2 ----> Synology NAS DS918+

LAN 3 ----> My Desktop

2.4Ghz

5 Ghz 1 ----> 65" Crystal UHD 4K Smart TV TU8000 Series 8

5 Ghz 2

Steps taken so far:

  • Replaced all my cables with CAT8 cables.
  • Initial configuration.
  • Tried to enable LAN agregation for pots 1 and 2 through the TP-Link settings and failed.
  • Made sure my PC & TV where disconnected from any old WAN/LAN connections.
  • Tried to enable LAN agregation for pots 1 and 2 through the NAS settings and succeded.
  • Tried to enable LAN agregation for pots 1 and 2 through the TP-Link settings, after the bonding succeded on the NAS, and failed.
  • Tested a download. The file was 30GB and the speeds occilated around 100 MB/s. It would take 5 minutes to download from my NAS to my PC.
  • Tried to stream a 4K movie from my NAS to my TV (Using plex through the local network), it works the same as if I didn't have the Archer A20 installed. That is slow, with stuttering, and frequent drops.

So I'm guessing I'm doing something wrong. Can you guys help me out?

@mantecon2030

Which LAG mode you've set up on NAS side ? Try Balance XOR.

Here's a guide for configuring the Synology NAS LAG.
