Hi there,

 

I have recently upgraded my router from tplink ac1350 to ax1800 which is wifi 6 compatible, upon connected to new wireless network it seems like the previous connected google nest mini speaker doesn't seem to work anymore, have try to login home app and re-setup the google nest mini however error prompt device not compatible with wifi network. Initially I thought smart connect which combined both 2.4 and 5ghz network is the problem which causing the issue however upon disable smart connect function same results as per below.

 

Appreciate your support to fix the google home nest setup issue. Thanks!

Thanks mate I'm able to connect my google nest mini with new router wifi now, much appreciated for guidance shared. May I know if I enabled the smart connect feature will it still works if it's just the setting problem or nest mini doesn't support this feature yet?

Make sure your wireless security settings for both bands are like bellow:

 

Reboot the router so the wireless devices can re-connect and try again.

I believe it should work with SmartConnect since according to its specifications, that's a dual band device.

You can try enabling SmartConnect. If any issues with connectivity just disable SmartConnect.

Just make sure that the wireless security settings are set like I mentioned above.

Yes retested and it worked even on smart connect feature just need to restart the google nest mini would do. 😁
