Deco M4 select signal source

I got 3 deco M4 device, 1 as main (AP mode) and slave 1 and slave 2.
Main deco and slave 1 are located at ground floor while slave 2 is located at floor 1.
Main deco is located under the stair so the signal strength is weak a bit, but the speedtest done when client device connect to slave 1 still good.
Problem here is slave 2 connect to main deco instead of slave 1 when slave 1 have greater signal strength compare to main deco.
I saw another post Deco M5 source signal selectable? got release beta firmware for M5 model.
May i know when will m4 beta firmware release? or does it have any other temporary solution?

I am having the same problem with 3x Deco M4R V2 units.
Could I receive the beta firmware from someone?
It is 6 months old now, still no official release?
I've got the main deco in the front of the house on the first floor.
Second deco on the back of the house on the third floor, connected using the ethernet backhaul.
The third deco is located in the back of the backyard. The signal there is receoved best from deco 2, but it is connecting through deco 1...

Hi All,
We are working on the firmware that supports selecting signal sources manually. Please keep an eye on Deco APP and once we release the new firmware, you will get a notification.
Before the optimized firmware is released, we have a version of firmware that will keep the specific Deco only connecting to the closest Deco node.
But if the 2nd Deco is rebooted, you still need to reboot the 3rd Deco after the 2nd Deco restarted to switch the 3rd Deco's signal source.
Installation guide:
Please unzip the file after download it.
Please go to the Deco APP's home page and tap the Internet icon. Then please tap the 3rd Deco unit that farthest from the main unit. You can get this unit's IP address on the detail info page. Please write this IP address down.
Please connect your PC to the deco network and open a browser. On the browser's domain address bar, please enter the IP address you just got on Deco APP and enter it. You will access the management page of the specific unit.
Please go to Advanced -> system -> update the firmware to install this firmware using the .bin file zipped in the folder.
If you have any questions, please kindly let me know.

Thanks for sending me the beta firmware.
So I understand it correctly that it only needs to be installed on the deco unit which is connecting to the "wrong" AP?
On my network it is still connecting to the main deco. So I am wondering if both main and second deco have an equally bad reception at the point of deco 3 and it still chooses the main one?
Does it actually test reception of all deco units or how does it choose the "closest deco node" as you mentioned?

@TP-Link I'm having the same issue on my M4R, wherein the units aren't connecting to the nearest source. Is there available beta firmware for the M4R as well? Also, when can we expect the source-signal-selection update to roll out? Thanks!
