Model: Archer A9
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 Build 20200416 rel.72485

Hello:

I'm using the Archer A9 as a WAP.  It is connected to my modem via Cat6.  It is showing 100Mbps negotiation (full duplex).  I want to reset it to 1000Mbps.  I've tried using the router configuration and going to Advanced System and changing it, but it won't save the changes.  Any ideas?

Thanks

@DinAjijic

If your device is in router mode:

If the setting is Auto then change it to 1000 Mbps/full duplex (If it is set to 1000 Mbps then change it to Auto):

.

Then reboot the device and observe the result here :

If the device is in AP mode:

you can just observe the negotiation speed here:

In that case you can only re-plug the cable from both sides (router and modem) and observe if the negotiated speed is correct.

What's the modem type ? Are you using A9's Internet port(blue port) or LAN port ? You can test with another cable or different modem port.

@Ivaylo

Connected to a Fiberhome AN5506-02-F GPON modem.  Connected via the Blue port on the TP Link.

OK. You helped me figure it out. The modem has 2 LAN ports.  Port 1 supports 1000Mbps while Port 2 only supports 100Mbps.  Finally.

Thanks
