Model: Archer C1200
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.6 Build 20200902 rel.65591(4555)

I have a 250 Mbps internet connection from ACT fibrenet.

When I connect directly to the Ethernet by-passing the router, I am getting 240-250 Mbps speed, but when I am using router, its limiting my speed to 80-90 Mbps in both LAN and 5G WiFi

Put it to Auto, reboot the device and test again. Any change in your network in the recent two weeks ? What's the device on the cable's other end ?

If the device still negotiates 100 Mbps, re-plug the cable from both sides and test again.

@Ivaylo Thanks for looking into this, attacked the screenshot

NOTE: This problem started couple of weeks back only. I didnt do any update of any kind or touched the Router prior

@Shiv741

That's the culprit :

Check this setting:

If it looks like in my screenshot then make it:

Then observe your screenshot value for Internet port negotiation speed - it should be 1000 Mbps.

If you still have 100 Mbps after these changes try using another ethernet cable (Cat 5e/ Cat 6).

@Ivaylo This setting is already set to "1000Mbps full duplex".

The cable is Cat 6. I was getting around 240Mbps two weeks before, the problem started recently. I am using this router since 1 year.

@Ivaylo Hi Ivaylo, Sorry to bug you again but the issue seems to be coming back after some time. Every time when I reboot the router, it works fine and I can see the 1000MBps for few hours. then it again goes back to 100MBps.

How long is the cable ? Have you tried with a different one ? (Cat 5e / Cat 6) Can you try different port on the modem side ?

@Ivaylo Internet cable is around 15 meters, LAN cable is about 8 meters. Sure, I will try changing the PORT and Cable and retry this for couple of days and will check the outcome
